Giannis Grim – Vocals & Bass Guitars

These musicians being real zealots of what Death Metal was known for back in the late 80’s and the early 90’s (a.k.a. no tech wankery and no crystal-clear production), they rapidly entered the studio just to start jamming, and ultimately gave birth to ECTOPLASMA, a band that shamelessly manifest their devotion t...

SLIPKNOT – Score #1 Album

Iowa metal/hard rock veterans SLIPNOT have earned their third consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts with new album We Are Not Your Kind. The new album tallied 118,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release in the United States. Billboard says that 102,000 of those were in album sales.

We Are Not Your Kind is the first hard rock album to top the chart since Foo Fighters’ 2017 release, Concrete and Gold, which sold 127,000 units in its debut week.

It should be noted that sales of the new Slipknot album were bolstered by a concert ticket/album offer for the band’s current tour.

Slipknot is well known for its attention-grabbing image, aggressive style of music, and energetic and chaotic live shows...

OPETH – Debut New Song

Swedish progressive rockers OPETH have unveiled a new song titled “Dignity.” The track comes from the band’s forthcoming album, In Cauda Venenum (out September 27), and can be streamed above.

Sweden’s Opeth are preparing to release their most important record to date with “In Cauda Venenum”. Certainly, fans and critics will have their opinion, but few records in the Swedes oeuvre are as engaging, delicate, panoramic, intense, and musical as Opeths lucky thirteenth. Sporting a clever Travis Smith cover—replete with inside jokes and a nod to King Diamond—a masterful Park Studios (The Hellacopters, Graveyard) production, Opeths usual five-star musicianship, and lyrics entirely in Swedish, “In Cauda Venenum” raises the bar markedly...

His name is John Podesta.

SLAYER – Sponsorship Pulled From NASCAR Race

Last week, SLAYER announced that it had joined Rick Ware Racing as the primary sponsor for the No. 54 entry at tomorrow’s Bristol Motor Speedway. Today, reportedly due to reactionary concerns from other long-time participating sponsors, Slayer has been pulled as the primary sponsor, and all Slayer signage has been removed from the car that was to be piloted by Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series veteran, JJ Yeley.

The incontrovertible PODS Moving & Storage will now sponsor that car.

After nearly 40 years, Slayer apparently remains as terrifying to some as ever.

Slayer, the long-reigning titans of thrash, returns with Repentless, the band’s 11th studio album and its first album for Nuclear Blast...
