CARNIVORE DIPROSOPUS – New Album Details Revealed

CARNIVORE DIPROSOPUS, purveyors of obliterating, bone-crushing brutality since 2002 are back with a career defining new album, their first since 2013 and their most destructive to date. Rise Of The Insurrection begins with the introductory piece, ‘Insurrection Ordinance’, which is a defiant demonstration of firepower as the Carnivore Diprosopus battalions take to the field of conflict. Remorseless, rolling riffs build in monstrous heaviness before the guns erupt in the world breaking barrage of ‘Begin Redemption’ and the sheer capability for carnage of Carnivore Diprosopus becomes apparent. There is no resisting this onslaught. You lose all sense of time and reality as ‘The Battle Of Saicasm (Aerial Predator)’ brings a blitzkrieg of death from above, leaving gaping wounds in the earth and the riffs of ‘The Onslaught…Cyborg Tank Division’ – featuring a guest appearance from Angel Ochoa (Abominable Putridity, Cephalotripsy, Disgorge etc) – tumble around your blasted ears like spent shell cases falling from a white hot machine gun spitting death.

Perhaps the most impressive display of scorched earth sonics though, comes in the form of ‘Khristov’s Seventh Eagle Legion’, with its wonderful jarring notes like alarm bells announcing the end of the world that progress to a horrifying bludgeoning , accompanied by a vocal delivery of unearthly power from the band’s founder member and talismanic general, Mr. Oscarnivore T-666. Featuring as a bonus track, a reanimation of ‘Whore Collector Of Testicles’, with additional vocals from Rene Barthoulot of Slamentation, which first appeared on Carnivore…’s debut album, Filled My Stomach With A Pregnant’s Corpse back in 2004, Rise Of The Insurrection is a triumphant return to the frontlines for this most uncompromising of brutal death metal strike forces.

More than a decade on from previous album Condemned By The Alliance, Carnivore Diprosopus have retaken their place of prominence in the death metal ranks with ease.
