Unique Leader Records welcomes another great band to their arsenal of devastating artists, HIDEOUS DIVINITY. Born in late 2006 as a project from one of Hour Of Penance founding member Enrico Schettino, Hideous Divinity immediately gains attention in the extreme metal underground thanks to the 2007 “Sinful Star Necrolatry” two-track demo, an intriguing mixture of European and American metal extremities. After a long hiatus the band finally finds a stable lineup, just in time to be invited by Sweden’s DM masters Insision in Scandinavia for two festivals in late 2010. In the meantime, new songs are ready: European death/black influences give way to a more mindful, complex yet straight-in-your-face death metal assault in the vein of Nile, Immolation, and Hate.
The recording and mixing sessions of “Obeisance Rising,” debut album to be released via Unique Leader, are scheduled for June 2011 at renowned 16th Cellar Studios by mastermind Stefano “Saul” Morabito, the man behind the knobs of Italy’s most quoted extreme productions. The lyrical concept will be based on John Carpenter’s immortal masterstroke “They Live.” Artist will be announced soon as the band wants to find the perfect connection between the concept and its creator.
