American glam metal band RATT have stormed back with a vengeance after more than a decade since their last studio effort. Vocalist Stephen Pearcy is back behind the mic reunited with guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer. They hired former QUIET RIOT axe man Carlos Cavazo to handle second guitar duties and replaced Juan Croucier with Robbi Crane on bass, then they kicked out the ‘glam anthems’ and got back to doing what they do best: rock with their balls out.
“Infestation” is certainly not something you think most fifty year old tired, aging rockers would be able to pull off in a convincing manner, but I gotta hand it to these guys. This album is one helluva jam-it-out loud and proud on a true Rock N Roll thrill ride that truly does not come around typically but once every twenty years it seems. This reviewer was simply blown away at the top notch musical production that “Infestation” delivers along with its incredible songwriting. “Infestation” successfully revisits the glory days of Out Of The Cellar and Invasion Of Your Privacy.
My favorites are “Eat Me Up Alive” and “Best Of Me” with their killer riffs and sweet choruses. Any old school Ratt fan – along with any new fan of metal music – will absolutely love what they
hear with “Infestation”.
