Legendary drummer Carmine Appice has changed his story on the confirmation of bassist legend Carol Kaye as the studio bassist for MÖTLEY CRÜE.
TMD has been tipped off as to the true identity of the studio sub for Nikki Sixx. An industry source close to the situation has confirmed that the Kaye story was a hoax.
“The real studio sub for the Crue is Carmine Rojas.”
Rojas had been a go to bassist for many of the most famous rock music giants, including a stint with David Bowie.
Other notable names Rojas has recorded or performed with, includes: Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson, Peter Frampton, Al Green, and Carly Simon.
