Former MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Jeffrey Nothing reportedly plans to launch his own version of the band in the near future. Nothing‘s tenure in Mushroomhead ran from 1993 through to 2018 and it would seem that some bad blood persists. Earlier this year Nothing filed suit against Mushroomhead‘s Steve “Skinny” Felton over a royalty dispute. The two musicians were among the band’s co-founding members.
Speaking recently on social media, Nothing outlined his plans, revealing he won’t be the only alumni of the masked Cleveland alternative metal band involved in this new venture:
“My yet to be named version of Mushroomhead… Coming Soon.
This will be my new take on the band I Co- Founded. I will be the only returning vocalist. It will include a new Bassist, Keyboard player and Co Lead Vocalist. Returning members will play Guitar and at times possibly drums.
The Band that we were always meant to be. We will do whatever we want and no one, Members included… will ever tell us what to do!”
Nothing‘s hint at a veteran of Mushroomhead joining on guitars would seemingly point to Tommy Church, who more recently has been a member of Nothing‘s solo band.
