John Corabi Asked Mick Mars For His Approval To Rejoin MÖTLEY CRÜE (UPDATED)

The internet has been flooded with ‘rumors’ on many websites in recent months regarding John Corabi – again singing in MÖTLEY CRÜE.

The scenario has been ‘sparked’ by recent statements made by both Mick Mars and Carmine Appice – both saying, ‘backing tapes’ were used during the Crue’s live shows at last year’s ‘Stadium’ tour of the US, which also featured: DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS. Mars contends that all of the Crue except himself were faking their live performances and both he and the fans got “ripped off”, which falls under “false advertising” and could end up making Mick the new majority owner of the band he founded, having been the one who wrote all the best riffs and named the group in the first place. In his legal battle set to go down shortly, the legendary guitarist claims he was being ‘gaslighted’ last year for standing up to the band’s shady practices… and in turn they attempted to ruin his reputation and destroy the brand of the band he helped to create.

In his lawsuit, TMD has learned that if Mars can somehow find a way to convince the court that he was unfairly treated and that the Crue sabotaged their own brand name, it could get Mars over 50% of the shares in his control, which would make the 72-year-old what is called a Majority Shareholder.

Majority Shareholder, also known as a controlling shareholder, is an individual or a corporation that owns the majority of the stock of the company. I.e., more than 50% of the stock enjoys more voting power than other shareholders. These shareholders are in a position to influence the company’s decisions and can select or replace the board of directors.

Believe it or not, many insiders believe that Mars would welcome the return of Corabi to his planned new and improved version of the Crue upon firing Vince, Nikki and Tommy. According to PsychologyToday site:

“Gaslighting is an insidious form of manipulation and psychological control. Victims of gaslighting are deliberately and systematically fed false information that leads them to question what they know to be true, often about themselves. They may end up doubting their memory, their perception, and even their sanity. Over time, a gaslighter’s manipulations can grow more complex and potent, making it increasingly difficult for the victim to see the truth.”

Word is that Corabi has remained the closest over the years to Mick Mars (knowing that a potential takeover of the band’s leadership could be going down in the court room next) and sought out his approval first about the idea of one day returning to the Crue’s lineup.

Crabs had recently spent time in the studio with Mick Mars, helping out with songwriting for his solo album, although it doesn’t appear that Corabi will sing on Mars’ soon to release debut solo effort.

Mick’s solo album is said to be part of the reason why he had such a major falling out with the Crue. He has been fighting Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee in recent years just to be able to get songs he wrote onto any Crue studio albums, and these new songs on Mick’s solo album could be possible Crue songs that never came to fruition, and so that pissed off Nikki.

TMD first reported this angle of the drama earlier in the year.

So now insiders say there is an outside chance that Mick regains control of his beloved band since anything can happen in a major court battle rife with hidden bombshells ready to go off at any time.

“John doesn’t want to let Mick down of all people, the source adds. “He looks up to Mick like he’s a father figure. Things have got really messy with Mick not being in the Crue anymore, but John said Mick is like the “Godfather of Metal” always and forever.”
