KISS – Coming Out of Retirement to Play “Unmasked” Shows

KISS have now officially confirmed their unmasked return to the stage. That move comes after having retired from touring back in 2023. Among other things, the band became infamous over the years for reneging on their farewell tours.

The conclusion of their 2023 farewell tour however seemed more final, as the storied group also sold off their brand, royalties, masters and likenesses in a $300,000,000 deal. At that time, the outfit also revealed their plans to stage future live performances as digital avatars.

However, as was recently teased, the multi-platinum hard rock legends will be back onstage in Las Vegas this fall. A newly shared press release confirmed that the band’s Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons will be playing an unmasked live show with as-yet unannounced ‘special guests’. That event will take place at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas from November 14th to 16 and serve as a 50th anniversary event for the band’s KISS Army fan club.

The official press release for the event reads as follows:

‘March 27, 2025 – Today, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends KISS announce, in conjunction with co-producers Pophouse, creators of the boutique music vacation Topeka, and music-led destination experience company Vibee, the epic experience KISS Army Storms Vegas set to take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas November 14-16, 2025.

The “everything KISS” paradise will take place in celebration of KISS Army’s 50th Anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the first KISS fan convention. Since retiring from touring in December 2023, this will be the first time KISS has performed together and will be a one-of-a-kind KISS “unmasked” electric show featuring Gene SimmonsPaul Stanley and special guests. A full schedule of activities will be announced soon, but fans can also expect exclusive Q&A sessions with members of the band, a panel with longtime manager Doc McGhee, a special live performance from former KISS member Bruce Kulick, along with sets from KISS tribute bands, other special guests, interactive activities, exclusive experiences and more.

Details will begin to roll out shortly at www.kissonline.com. On March 8th selected fans from around the globe were invited to a panel discussion to help shape the event in conjunction with the KISS production team. The fan feedback and ideas will be incorporated in the weekend’s festivities. See photos of fans during the announcement and panel HERE.
