The Metal Den has learned that later this month FMQB Productions will present Inside ALICE IN CHAINS: Black Gives Way To Blue, featuring the band interviewed by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of METALLICA. The broadcast special will air on radio stations across the country between September 25th and September 29th.
ALICE IN CHAINS was widely associated with grunge music in the 90’s, though incorporating elements of heavy metal and acoustic music to help them become one of rock’s biggest names. The band lost their singer Layne Staley in 2002 to heroin addiction.
The group (featuring new vocalist William DuVall) will also be performing live outdoors in Los Angeles on September 29, taping their performance for Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC that night. September 29 is also the release date for their new album, Black Gives Way To Blue.
