MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s disastrous comeback “The Stadium Tour” was apparently the death nail for legendary Crue guitarist Mick Mars, after having been subjected to the worst stage show of his entire career, thanks to his “Three Stooges” band mates, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil‘s constant in fighting that ultimately led to Lee and Sixx sabotaging the concerts due to the two’s aversion toward Neil’s crappy singing. Complaints erupted from fans and critics that Lee and Sixx were turning up the volume on the drums and bass to drown out the horrendous singing by Neil. In turn, this pissed off Mars because fans had difficulty hearing his epic riffs and trademark shredding.

The major turmoil in the band all started back in rehearsals for these concerts when Tommy Lee is alleged to have been attacked by Vince Neil for using derogatory terms against him, such as “Fat Boy” and “Vince Meal.” The non-stop body shaming by all accounts is what led to Lee’s subsequent beatdown.

MOTLEY FIVE … Industry Rumors are Circulating that John 5 could be New Guitarist in Motley Crue

Lee was so upset over the altercation that he threatened to quit the band, but due to his contract was not able to get paid unless he performed at least three songs with the glam metal band each night. The false story about Lee falling down some stairs while carrying luggage was concocted to divert attention from the bad blood going on between Lee and Neil. The Metal Den was first to break the story to the world, and it has since amassed millions of views.

Now, word going around the rock industry is that Mick Mars does not want to be part of the shit show any longer and won’t be part of the Crue’s upcoming touring overseas in 2023 or their planned 2024 North American tour.

TMD also first broke the story about Lee getting busted fake playing his drums during one of the gigs, wherein the legendary drummer clearly got caught using a backing track, believe it or not.

Now that it’s out in the open that Tommy Lee was doing everything he can to make Vince Neil look bad for not being in proper condition to deliver a stellar rock performance, as he promised he would, Mick Mars is beyond furious with how things went down.

The rumor going around is that Ex-ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5, according to Metal Sludge, will be replacing Mick Mars in the band permanently. Although no official word has been released by the band about the status of Mars, as the story goes the 71-year-old has seen and heard enough and no longer wants to be associated with the once great glam metal band’s epic downfall.
