MÖTLEY CRÜE’s “The Stadium Tour” In Serious Jeopardy, Awaiting ‘Powers That Be’

With only a little more than a week left before The Stadium Tour is scheduled to kick off on June 16th at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, fans are getting excited about seeing their favorite glam bands in concert finally. However, due to the escalating surge of COVID-19 infections, there is still a good chance the plug could get pulled and force another postponement or cancellation altogether.

According to an official statement issued by all the band’s involved, the status of the tour is still pending, after having been postponed twice due to the worldwide pandemic.

We wanted to reach out to all of our amazing fans and let you know that we’ve been hard at work preparing an amazing show. Our priority during this unprecedented time is to make sure that we are being as thoughtful and responsible as possible in the decisions we are making regarding the stadium tour and that we are putting the fans’ health, well-being and safety first and foremost. We are currently weighing all options and are awaiting further direction from the powers that be. Our goal is to have an official update to everyone by June 1 outlining exactly how we will proceed. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. We can’t wait to see you all again.

MÖTLEY CRÜE Are About To Postpone ‘The Stadium Tour’ For Third Time?

Nikki Sixx the other day announced that no fans will be allowed backstage to take pictures or get signed autographs from the bands, unless they paid for a $3,500 VIP Meet And Greet Package, which does not include the price of the ticket, believe it or not. Any safety protocols that will be put in place for the VIP experience have yet been confirmed by the venue, the bands or the organizers. Neither has any mandate been issued by city or state officials, or the U.S. government for that matter, despite a massive surge of the pandemic going on all throughout America. In fact, the other day (May 29) at an Atlanta Braves baseball game, played at Truist Park, not one person in the crowd is seen wearing a protective mask.

One fan asked Sixx the following question via Twitter which was not answered:

What should I expect, as far as covid rules? Bring card? I had my two Fizers and one booster, will that be sufficient???

Word going around is that the band’s will not actually be allowed to directly meet with VIP fans, instead the Crue would be engaged live from another location in the venue, allowing interaction only via a large video monitor.
