Glam metal pioneer Joey C. Jones passed away today March 15, 2022, after recently falling into a coma while battling cancer. He is survived by his loving daughter Jade.
“RIP Joey C. Jones. What a time we had years ago! What an adventure. I learned how to write a song collaborating with you. You were the real deal. I remember that magic moment of hearing us on the radio for the first time! Living up in the Hollywood Hills, sharing a room with you at CC Deville’s house. All of the time spent with you guys in Dallas. We were living our dreams. I loved watching you be a father and loving Jade so beautifully. One of my fondest and funniest memories was when we came to Los Angeles to make our first album. We all lived in our producer’s guest house to save money. There was a shower but no hot water. Joe had us go and find two six gallon Sparkletts water bottles. Every morning Joey, Craig and I would go take them to McDonald’s men’s bathroom, fill them with hot water and bring them into the yard of the guest house. We would put on our boxer shorts, and each would pour hot water on each other and take a “yard” shower.. perfect! We had hot showers every day for the months that we were there… And we loved every minute of our adventure.. You were one of the funniest and most talented people I have ever known.” – Adam Hamilton
