MACHINE HEAD’s lead guitarist Phil Demmel collapsed on the stage recently due to a condition the musician suffers from called cardiogenic syncope. “Syncope” is basically a medical term for fainting, and when it’s cardiogenic, what that means is that the heart isn’t getting enough blood to the brain. The incident happened during the band’s final song at Finland’s Sonisphere Festival on July 25th.
The Metal Den wishes the heavy metal warrior a speedy recovery!
