KK’s PRIEST – Officially Announce Band Members

Fans are well aware that former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing did not exactly get along well with his ex-bandmates in the legendary English outfit. Downing retired from the group back in 2011 “amid differences with them and their management,” now he is back to stick the knife of animosity in even deeper.

The legendary guitarist has decided to form his own version of Judas Priest. No, this is not a hoax. He has recruited ex-Judas Priest vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens to front it and former Judas Priest drummer Les Binks to take on the percussion duties.

Dubbed KK’s Priest, the trio are rounded out by bassist Tony Newton (Voodoo Six) and guitarist A.J. Mills (Hostile). Work is underway on a debut album which will be released this year via Explorer1 Music Group. Downing commented of his plans for the group:

“Forging ahead with KK’s Priest was not only inevitable, but was essential for me to perform and deliver everything that is expected from me and KK’s Priest. Due to the massive demand and overwhelming support from fans around the world, I feel this is where I belong, and a set combining the true, classic songs and sound of Priest, together with great, newly forged metal tracks, is what fans can expect when KK’s Priest is taking to stages.”
