MÖTLEY CRÜE – Planning Comeback Tour In 2020

No, this is not another hoax. Legendary bad boys of rock, MÖTLEY CRÜE, are said to be making preparations to launch a major comeback tour in 2020, according to the site Radar Online. Apparently the band is dealing with some internal fighting going on still between Tommy Lee and Vince Neil, along with Tommy’s issues with overcoming drug dependency. And we all know that Vince needs to lose at least forty pounds from his stomach to make a serious run at doing a tour.

Mötley Crüe rumoured to be offered $150 million tour but with conditions for Vince Neil and Tommy Lee

As the story goes, Mötley Crüe are locked in a “petty war of words,” RadarOnline.com has revealed exclusively, as the bad boys “bicker over which aging superstar should go to rehab first.”

According to sources, the ’80s hair band is set to cash in with a $150 million Live Nation tour in 2020, as long as Vince drops a ton of “butt gut” weight and Tommy will promise to stop acting like a spoiled brat. Sounds fair enough, right?

It turns out insiders say the 58-year-old Neil was pissed off big time by the promoters’ ‘slim-down’ demands — and instead demanded that “boozehound Lee” is the one that needs to clean up his act!

“boozehound Lee’s Life Motto : “Don’t leave home without enough party favors!”

“Tommy is furious!” said a source close to the 57-year-old ex of Pam Anderson and Heather Locklear. “He won’t do it! He doesn’t think he has a drinking problem — but everybody else does!” the insider said.

As Radar first reported, Tommy Lee has worked extremely hard on repairing his image, since the ugly fight he got into with son Brandon last year over “accusations of alcohol issues.”

No official word yet on the actual timeline the boys plan to bring the circus back to your neck of the woods, but a Crue comeback is seriously looking more and more legit with each passing day, unless Vince falls off the wagon and starts making secret runs to the local all you can eat buffet.

Keep in mind, bassist Nikki Sixx hinted earlier in 2019 that the band would have interest in performing at the Super Bowl in a tweet, though he said they have never been asked. So obviously the boys are chomping at the bit to reunite for the fans once again!

Welcome back, you bastards of ROCK!

In other Crue news, the official lyric video for the new MÖTLEY CRÜE song “Ride With The Devil” can be viewed below. The track appears on “The Dirt Soundtrack” that accompanies the recently released Netflix film “The Dirt”, based on The New York Times best-selling 2001 autobiography by CRÜE and Neil Strauss.

Released on March 22, the 18-song soundtrack mastered by Grammy winner Dave Donnelly features a collection of MÖTLEY CRÜE classics that meaningfully underscore significant moments that shape the film. The album includes 14 fan favorites and chart-topping tracks such as “Dr. Feelgood” that charted at No. 6 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 and the anthemic “Girls, Girls, Girls” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200, among others. Additional hits featured are “Kickstart My Heart”, “Same ‘Ol Situation (S.O.S.)”, “Shout At The Devil” and the iconic ballad “Home Sweet Home” that landed the band mainstream recognition.

Exclusive to the film’s soundtrack, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs featuring the single, “The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)” with effortless rap verses surrounding signature guitar riffs. The three remaining songs conclude the album with aforementioned “Ride With The Devil” and “Crash And Burn”, plus a cover of Madonna‘s “Like A Virgin”.

MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s members signed a pact that they would not tour again, but bassist Nikki Sixx said this about the new songs: “During the filming of our movie, we got excited and inspired to write new music. Getting back in the studio with [producer] Bob Rock just fueled the creative fires for us. To me, the music sounds like classic MÖTLEY. The lyrics were written for the movie and are a reflection of our life.”

“The Dirt” movie, which was helmed by “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” director Jeff Tremaine, was picked up by Netflix after being previously developed at Focus Features and before that at Paramount.
