TOOL has made some long-awaited announcements and the reveal of their new album title is one of them. The group have set “Fear Inoculum” as the title to that release, which serves as their first full-length outing since 2006’s “10,000 Days“. The group recorded the album with producer Joe Barresi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Chevelle) behind the boards and is slated to hit stores on August 30th.
In addition to that, the group’s back catalog will finally make its way to streaming music services this Friday, August 02nd, with the band sharing the below post showing the cover art for their various releases with a date of August 02nd being teased alongside a caption announcing their plans.
Tool are an art-metal band, although neither half of that descriptor quite approximates the group’s sound. Combining challenging musical textures with metal’s ferocious gloom-and-doom mindset, Tool became one of the most celebrated hard rock bands of the last two decades, famous as much for their cutting-edge videos as they were for their powerfully introspective lyrics and the coiled menace of their songs. Considering the extensive amount of time between their albums, each new Tool release is understandably treated as a major event by the group’s large fan base.
