METALLICA have released NEW live footage of an acoustic rendition of their song “The Four Horsemen“. It comes from a show that took place at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA on November 03rd. The group were joined onstage that night by Avi Vinocur on mandolin/backing vocals, David Phillips on pedal steel, Henry Salvia on keyboards and Cody Rhodes on guest percussion.
That show served as a benefit for Metallica‘s own All Within My Hands charity and raised $1.3 million for it along with an accompanying auction. The performance will be released on vinyl as “Helping Hands…Live & Acoustic at The Masonic” on February 01st. Pre-orders for it can be found here with all proceeds to benefit the band’s aforementioned charity.
Last month saw the band announce their plans to donate $1,000,000 via the charity to ten different American community colleges.
