CHRIS CORNELL – Death By Murder In The First Degree?

Yesterday afternoon the official autopsy/toxicology report) for late SOUNDGARDEN front man Chris Cornell was released. According to the report, Chris had Naloxone (Narcan), Butalbital (sedative), Lorazepam (Ativan), and Pseudoephedrine in his system at the time he died. The report also indicated that Chris had taken a total of 4 (1 mg) Lorazepam tablets.

The finding was that the drugs found in Chris did not have anything to do with his death.

It is TMD’s belief that the combination of being strangled plus getting injected with the barbiturates by his bodyguard and then suspended from the door is what removed Chris Cornell from planet earth.

At 12:55 PM PT Friday (June 2), Vicky Cornell issued this statement to the media:

“Many of us who know Chris well, noticed that he wasn’t himself during his final hours and that something was very off. We have learned from this report that several substances were found in his system. After so many years of sobriety, this moment of terrible judgement seems to have completely impaired and altered his state of mind. Something clearly went terribly wrong and my children and I are heartbroken and are devastated that this moment can never be taken back. We very much appreciate all of the love we have received during this extremely difficult time and are dedicated to helping others in preventing this type of tragedy.”

TMD also doesn’t believe that the drugs in his body were what killed him alone. The lethargic, sedated state he was in combined with the fact that he was unconscious from the bodyguard choking him out… and then next was intentionally hung from the bathroom door by Martin Kirsten as part of the overall staging is what ultimately killed him.

When injecting a barbiturate it causes ‘vasodilation’ prior to death (toxic depression of the medulla oblongata, the vascular regulatory center) – and before vasodilation occurs, the heart would literally become so weak, that the cardiac output drops dramatically (toxic depression of the myocardium,) that reduces the pumping strength of the heart, and renders it ineffective as a blood propeller.

The Asst. Medical Examiner, Theodore Brown, is incorrect in his final assessment. How can this be?

Chris Cornell’s feet never left the ground that night.

In the report, Brown undoubtedly supports this when he indicates that Chris was found “partially suspended”.

TMD’s theory is that when the bodyguard went in to ‘fix’ the computer, this is when the attack occurred and subsequently the sedatives got administered into the arm of the rock legend.

Think about it. From Martin Kirsten’s own admission to the cops of being the last person to see him alive, it puts him and only him at the scene, right? Once Kirsten was inside that room with the exhausted rock star it allowed him to secure and control the environment which allowed for the assassination to take place.

Chris trusted his bodyguard. He did not suspect anything bad was about to happen to him. Chris was looking to just relax and unwind after the gig. Based on his own longtime manager’s account where he stated for the record that Chris seemed “fine”, it’s obvious the last thing the rocker wanted to do was end his own life.

Chris had children he loved. A wife he adored. A foundation to help abused kids. A new SOUNDGARDEN album preparing to be released in the future.. and oh yeah, he was in the middle of a concert tour where he never showed any serious warning signs about being suicidal nor was ever totally out of it from drug consumption. He gave it his all at the concert that night like he always did.

“After so many years of sobriety”…

It is TMD’s belief that after the show Chris was was sitting at the computer perhaps checking messages online when Martin Kirsten entered the room and the bodyguard sneaked up directly behind him with the athletic cord equipped w/two handles found near the body afterward, and strangled him in under a few minutes. It was that quick.

“Ligature furrow mark around neck”

It is TMD’s theory that next the body was moved to the bathroom and the red elastic workout band was placed around his neck as part of the staging and then he was suspended.

Not only will TMD prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this case is not a suicide or accidental death as Vicky wants us all to believe, it will be proven that what we are dealing with here is clearly a classic

premeditated homicide.

According to NOLO.com, there is no specific formula for determining whether a defendant premeditated and deliberated before acting. Courts and juries will consider the circumstances of each case.

EXAMPLE: A defendant convicted of first degree murder for strangling a victim with a lamp cord premeditated the murder. The evidence showed that the defendant repositioned the cord around the victim’s neck numerous times, each time giving him the opportunity to reflect on his actions. The defendant had also had time to consider his actions during a struggle with the victim prior to the strangulation, further proving premeditation. (Berube v. State, 5 So.3d 734 (Fla. 2nd DCA 2009).)

Keep in mind, although Chris Cornell was six foot three inches tall, he was a skinny guy, roughly 180 pounds, and gaunt looking at the end of his life. Martin Kirsten is six foot five. He weighs around two hundred and fifty pounds and works out with weights. He could have easily gained the upper hand on Chris quickly, most definitely catching him by surprise as to not allow Chris a chance to even scream for help. Once the rear arm choke was applied it was only a matter of moments before Chris lost consciousness.

This was not a suicide. Think about it.

How could someone who was so out of it and “tired” after performing – as his wife Vicky claims he said on the phone call they shared before he was found dead, have the strength and coordination to hang himself on the back of a door? It just is not possible. Plus anyone who has taken this powerful combination of sedatives or even just one of them knows your equilibrium is totally knocked out of whack. Tying your shoes becomes extremely difficult.

To break it down further, a barbiturate is a drug that acts as a central nervous system depressant, and therefore can produce a wide array of effects, running anywhere from mild sedation to total anesthesia.

According to Drugs.com:

“Barbiturates are a class of drugs that have been derived from barbituric acid. Barbituric acid itself has no therapeutic activity; however, its derivatives enhance the action of GABA, a neurotransmitter that inhibits the activity of nerve cells in the brain. Historically, barbiturates were used in the treatment of anxiety, epilepsy, as anesthetics, and to induce sleep.”

Vicky claims she was on the phone with Chris a half hour before his death … when he began speaking in a strange manner she hadn’t heard since he was addicted to Oxycontin 14 years ago. She was so alarmed by the slurring and aggressive tone she asked Chris’ bodyguard to go check on him.

Any wife with a heart beating in their chest would have instead immediately dialed 911 to send an ambulance if she truly believed Chris was in serious trouble after the show. After all, she knew he had almost died before from his addiction, right?

She said it herself after hearing Chris lapse into a slurring problem with his speech:

“Extremely worried about him…” said the police report.

Well then why not call for real medical help? Why take the chance? Why wait?

Vicky did not call for ‘professional’ medical help because she already knew Chris was dead.

How else can you explain why she didn’t do anything to help her husband at that very moment?

It was not until nearly 1 a.m. that a proper medic arrived and performed CPR on Chris.

That is 45 minutes after the bodyguard says he found Chris at a quarter past midnight.

In the report the bodyguard claims he attempted CPR when he found Chris. But it did not matter because at this point Chris was no longer alive.

45 minutes. That’s half the length of a typical Hollywood movie. It’s actually a long period of time for a body that is not moving to be lying without any further medical assistance, don’t you think?

So while one of the all-time greatest rock n roll singers laid on the floor for 45 minutes seemingly dying or already dead, his wife Vicky not having heard anything back from the bodyguard at this point still does not take control of the matter herself? Why is that?

Is it because Vicky wanted Chris dead?
