Just a few weeks after the announcement of the first confirmed bands, the organizers of the TOTAL METAL OPEN AIR FESTIVAL spread another wonderful news to the Italian metal audience! In fact, in addition to the already announced and warmly welcomed MOONSPELL, the famous Apulian event will also feature the stainless thrash metal band ANNIHILATOR!
Since their smashing debut in 1989, that Technical Thrash Metal masterpiece called “Alice In Hell“, Annihilator came overwhelmingly among the big names of global metal scene, standing out for their unique style which today is a source of inspiration for many other big band and, at the same time, inimitable! After more than 20 years of career, the band led by virtuoso and brilliant guitarist Jeff Waters is still an amazing war machine and it showed not only with their latest highly successful album “Feast“, but also with their latest fired live appearances on prestigious stages such as Wacken Open Air, the Metal Days in Tolmin and many others in every corner of the world where big metal fans were able to find a band in excellent form and capable with every single riff to penetrate deep within every soul devoted to the sacred creed of Heavy Metal!
In July 2014, finally, this legendary group will land for the first time ever also in southern Italy!
The Total Metal Open Air Festival will be held on 19 and 20 July 2014 in Italy in the city of Bitonto near Bari. Annihilator and Moonspell will be the flagship bands of only one of the two-day festival planned, for which organizers promise we can expect other interesting revelations! The artistic program provides more than 30 bands from around the world; Among other confirmed bands there are the Americans COLDSTEEL, a band formed in 1986 in New York and that, after 20 years of hiatus, is recently back on the market with the new album “American Idle“; also from America arrive the Texans AGGRAVATOR, addicted to a powerful “old school” thrash metal who won’t give truce to the necks of any headbanger! Of course there will be even excellent representatives of large Italian underground scene, as the previously announced RIUL DOAMNEI with their unique atmospheric extreme metal and still there will be many other very interesting artists who will be announced from time to time over the next months.
