Den Headz, in a little over two months the 28th anniversary of the passing of one of the all-time great heavy metal guitar players will be here. TMD has received a special video of private tour of one of the most incredible Randy Rhoads collections ever seen! This is a tribute dedicated to one of the most amazing guitar players that ever walked the earth. Watch the RANDY RHOADS studio room tribute video below! Here’s a statement from the maker (Vanfann):

“The RR collection in the video is not mine. I just took the video and put everything together for the owner. This room was supposed to be used in a producers cut for the Randy Documentary to promote the new movie but, nothing ever happened. I suggested to Mike who owns all of this stuff to post the video for Randy fans and he was cool with it. Mike also has another room with more RR stuff that wasn’t shot. Maybe he’ll make another video of that stuff down the line.”

“When I took pictures of the room I did ask Mike about the speakers and they are actually the new Altec reproduction speakers from Great Plains Audio. The speakers are about as close as you can get to the original 417 8H Altecs and run $250.00 each. Since all of the cabinets are mainly for show, he didn’t feel the need to source and re-cone 24 all original Altecs for them. He does have a bunch of original 417 8H Altecs in his personal Marshall cabs and also has another room with Randy Memorabila that wasn’t shown in this video. FYI, Great Plains Audio (www.greatplainsaudio.com) is manufacturing the 417 using the original 417 toolings, specs, and suppliers of materials. Same employees who ran the Altec production facilities and lines when Altec was still Altec.”

Jackson Guitars recently unveiled the new Randy Rhoads Tribute Model at the 2010 NAMM show in Anaheim, California. In collaboration with the Rhoads family, the Jackson Custom Shop will build 60 exact replicas of the first Randy Rhoads Jackson, often referred to as the Concorde.

Kelle and Kathy Rhoads were on hand for the unveiling, along with Anthrax guitar player, Scott Ian.
