ex-SLAYER guitarist Kerry King‘s new musical venture will simply be titled ‘Kerry King‘. While there’s no official word yet on who else will be joining him in the project sans fellow Slayer alumni Paul Bostaph (drums), the logo for the project has newly been unveiled. The group’s first show to be announced was confirmed earlier today November 8th.
The band is booked to be headlining one of the side stages at the May 9th opening date of this year’s ‘Welcome To Rockville‘ festival. Further live dates are expected in the weeks and months to come.
As reported in the past, Phil Anselmo of Pantera, etc. fame was once thought to be attached to the legendary thrash guitarist’s new project, while rumors of the group being titled Blood Reign also circulated. Rumor going around is that Anselmo is going to be fired by PANTERA for the ‘racist outburst’ he had at 2016 Dimebash when he blurted out “White Power” and flashed the Nazi salute.
