TMD first reported that Mick Mars was being mistreated by Nikki Sixx during and at the end of the Stadium Tour, at one point was seen telling Mars he was “too old” to be in the Crue and making the elderly guitarist cry.
Believe it or not, MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s manager has now accused Mick Mars‘s representatives of “elder abuse” in the guitarist’s legal dispute with his bandmates over their ongoing tour. What a desperate attempt to take eyes off their own corrupt actions against a man who helped launch the Crue and remained the most popular and enduring member of the legendary glam metal group.

TMD reported that it was actually Nikki Sixx who made Mick Mars “cry” and “plead” for his rightful profits and equal 25% ownership in the band.
When Mars, a co-founding member of MÖTLEY CRÜE, announced his retirement from touring with the group last October, he maintained that he would remain a member of the band, with John 5 taking his place on the road.
I called it again months before everyone else!!

However, in his lawsuit, which was filed last Thursday (April 6) in Los Angeles County’s Superior Court, the 71-year-old musician said that, after his announcement, the rest of CRÜE tried to remove him as a significant stakeholder in the group’s corporation and business holdings via a shareholders’ meeting.
Mick’s percentage of profits was cut down to only 5%.
The suit also states that bassist Sixx “gaslighted” Mars by telling him his “guitar playing was sub par,” while Sixx himself “did not play a single note on bass” live.
“A significant portion of Neil’s vocals were also pre-recorded,” the suit reads. “Even some of Lee’s drum parts were recordings.”
Mötley Crüe reunited in 2019 with original members Mars, Sixx, Lee and Neil, after playing what was advertised as their “final” show on New Year’s Eve 2015. They announced the Stadium Tour with Def Leppard for 2020, which was delayed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
News of the lawsuit follows a recent interview Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmine Appice gave to Ultimate Guitar, in which he claimed that Mars was “not happy” on the Stadium Tour because “everything was on tape.” Sixx responded to Appice by calling him a “washed up drummer.”
Crue’s pathetic and shady as Hell manager Allen Kovac said Mars is coming out with a list of allegations “to gain leverage in a smear campaign on MÖTLEY. He’s attacked the band, and he’s done it in a slanderous way, with false accusations and misrepresenting the facts to the fans. Mick is not the victim. The victims are MÖTLEY CRÜE and the brand, which Mick is so prideful of.” But, he added, “What’s upsetting to me is not Mick, but his representatives, who have guided Mick to say and do harmful things to the brand he cares about so much, MÖTLEY CRÜE. He has a degenerative disease and people are taking advantage of him. It’s called elder abuse.”
But it’s not elderly abuse to say you “propped him up”.
Kovac and Sixx are insisting that it was the fault of Mars not remembering how to play his guitar parts due to “cognitive” issues, and well, just being old.
The manager said that, despite what he alleges was a pattern of terrible performances, the band never thought of firing Mars — until he announced that he would be coming off the road due to the difficulties of touring with Ankylosing Spondylitis, which TMD since exposed was a cover up of the truth, and Mars was upset and confronted the band over seveal different issues, including the continued use of pre recorded tracks, which Mars felt ripped off the fans. “They honored their commitment and propped him up,” Kovac said.
Propped him up? The only person in the Crue who needs a teleprompter and to lip-sync is Vince Neil, who was so drunk before the comeback began he fell off the stage at a solo gig and forgot how to sing.
