SOULFLY – 2019 US Tour Dates Announced

SOULFLY is set to release their new album, Ritual, on October 19 via Nuclear Blast. The band has announced their first tour in support of the record, which will take place next in early 2019. Joining them on the trek will be Incite, in addition to Kataklysm, Chaoseum, Alukah, and Skinflint on select dates.

Commented vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera: “Fuck yeah! We’re finally getting ready to tour America and Canada! We have the almighty Kataklysm and thrash masters Incite with us to pulverize city after city, night after night! We are gonna destroy everything that comes in our path! Join us and let the ritual begin!”

SLIPKNOT – New Album Coming Next Summer

According to SLIPKNOT vocalist Corey Taylor, the band’s next album will likely arrive next summer, with official tracking slated to begin this winter. Thus far they’ve demoed twenty tracks, all of which they hope to release in one form or another.

Taylor provided the following information to Resurrection Fest TV:

“Next year is a big year for Slipknot. We’re definitely thinking about a big world tour… [a new album] absolutely, probably summer. It all depends on when we get in the studio. Right now, the plan is for us to be in the studio early next year — like, first couple of months next year...

American metal act, PIG DESTROYER, has released a new studio album in 2018 titled “Head Cage” and while it shifts away from their pure grindcore past it is absolutely jamming to the max, incorporating new elements to deliver an even heavier sound. This is a much more progressive and overall better produced effort, in my opinion, than anything they have released previously. The band first formed in 1997, after lead vocalist J.R. Hayes and Agoraphobic Nosebleed guitarist Scott Hull came together to craft the heaviest grindcore possible. SOILWORK – Debut New Single

Swedish metal veterans SOILWORK has announced plans to drop their next album this winter. The effort has been titled Verkligheten and will be released on January 11 through Nuclear Blast. The band’s eleventh studio album, Verkligheten will be their first to feature drummer Bastian Thusgaard, who replaced Dirk Verbeuren in 2016.

OZZY OSBOURNE – Cancels Remaining Tour Dates

Legendary BLACK SABBATH vocalist Ozzy Osbourne has now cancelled the remaining four shows on his solo North American “No More Tours 2.” Following additional evaluation from his doctors, Osbourne will likely require another surgery in the coming days to treat multiple infections in his right hand.

The four cancelled shows were originally scheduled as follows: Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA (October 6), Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista (October 9), the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (October 11) and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (October 13). The three California shows had previously been rescheduled following his initial prognosis from doctors. All four shows will be rescheduled for 2019.
