JILL MARIE ABBOTT – Memorial Service Details

TMD has learned that Jill Marie Abbott, the one time girlfriend of ex-PANTERA vocalist Philip H. Anselmo and close friend of the band’s late guitarist, Dimebag Darrell Abbott, who was found mysteriously dead on December 24, 2010 in the Oakland Hills, has been cremated. A Catholic memorial service for Jill is being held on this coming Thursday (Jan 20) -between 2:00pm – 5:30pm – at Fremont Memorial Chapel located at 3723 Peralta Blvd in Fremont, California. There will be a minister to facilitate and run the service. There will be refreshments served at a reception following the service. This will all be on site.

Jill was much more than just a fan of Heavy Metal music. She enjoyed doing work in her garden, caring for animals, and was loved by all of her closest friends and family. Police have not declared Jill’s death a murder investigation but there is belief by those closest to the situation that there may have been some foul play involved.

Jill’s most recent boyfriend and friend of 23 years Devin Walker adds:

“For me to give the layout of the Jill I knew it would probably be a book but I will try to give a little insight to her here, a great day for Jill was going & feeding the ducks, spending some time working on the garden w/ Slayer cranked up & going for a bike ride. She had a very innocent & silly side to her that very few people knew or saw, I so wish that I had video of that side to show people the Jill that I knew. She was very protective of who she was & only let people see a small part of herself, with all of the tragedy that consumed her entire life she would still look for the best in people & could find a way to forgive people that I could never understand. She was deeply religious & on a daily basis would tell me not to say the Lords name in vain. She carried the same bible around with her from 12 years old on.”
