The Darkness – Lead Singer Justin Hawkins Quits Band

Metal News Source: SiN's Metal NewsBillboard.com reports: Singer Justin Hawkins has left British band THE DARKNESS to continue his drug rehabilitation. Hawkins revealed his intentions today (Oct. 11) in an interview with the Sun newspaper. "It will be an upheaval," he said. "But it's time for me to move on. It would be damaging to my recovery to stay on. I'm not blaming the band for my problem — I am an addict."
