Katherine Ludwig, founding editor of Metal Maniacs magazine, passed away yesterday (Friday, January 30). Ludwig was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma this past summer. Her battle with the illness was documented in part via her Facebook page.
Co-founded by Ludwig in 1989, Metal Maniacs’ final issue was released in February 2009.
She reportedly leaves behind a son.
