Multi-platinum Texas nü-metal outfit DROWNING POOL have been forced to scrap their planned seven-date South American tour this month in light of low ticket sales. Absent official word from the band, a statement said to have been put forth by the tour’s organizers has been circulating online. Previously announced listings for planned stops on the trek have also disappeared from ticketing sites.
The below statement is said to have officially announced the news:
“We regret to inform you that Drowning Pool‘s tour in South America has been officially cancelled.
The decision was made jointly by all the local producers involved, due to low ticket sales in all cities on the tour.
Customers who have already purchased tickets should request a refund directly from the ticketing company in their respective city.
For more information and specific guidance on the refund process, please contact the local production company.
Thank you for your understanding.”
