Indianapolis, Indiana’s most notorious blackened doom metal abomination COFFINWORM has unleashed “Black Tears”, taken from the collective’s upcoming album IV.I.VII (out March 18th on Profound Lore).
Pitchfork referred to the album as “excellent,” and praised the effort: “Across the album’s 40 minutes, Coffinworm navigate a logjam of metals black and sludge, doom and death, inexhaustibly pushing elements of each form atop, underneath and around one another.”
