One rocking radio station in Pennsylvania USA expressed their feelings pretty well, in concern with the circulating rumor that Mick Mars was purportedly fired by Nikki Sixx and it was over Mick’s forthcoming debut solo album.
“Wow, just Wow,” said Tori of Max 102 via the radio site’s Facebook page. “Mick Mars fired by the Crue? You be the judge!”
Max 102 plays Rock Hits of the 80’s and more for Northeast PA on 102.3 FM.
The Crue kicked off their World Tour in 2023 with a couple lackluster gigs last week with new guitarist John 5.
Ex-Crue singer John Corabi confirmed it himself that Mick was fired… saying:
“… he was shown the door.”
WMQX (102.3 FM, “Max 102”) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to serve Pittston, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Audacy, Inc., through licensee Audacy License, LLC, and airs a classic hits format branded as “Max 102”.
