Scott Stapp Turns Down MÖTLEY CRÜE, Set To Rejoin CREED For Reunion, 2nd Cruise Date Added (UPDATED)

The ongoing rumor that Scott Stapp was going to be replacing troubled Crue vocalist Vince Neil has found itself now at an awkward point, as word coming from CREED camp is that Stapp has purportedly rejected the offer from Nikki Sixx to join MÖTLEY CRÜE as the band’s full-time singer for the legendary glam metal’s bands future touring going into 2024. The reason he declined Sixx’s offer is because of the band’s usage of backing tracks during their live shows, believe it or not.

An industry source provided TMD with the dirt on the matter:

“Scott loves the Crue like everyone else, but after witnessing drummer Tommy Lee get caught performing live with a backing track, he feels that faking it for the crowd is below his standards as a musician.”

Stapp cancelled his UK tour recently and is clearing the schedule for his solo touring to make way for what will be the biggest reunion of them all, bigger than the Crue and Pantera, according to industry experts.

CREED’s Mark Tremonti recently did an interview and spoke in detail about the fans great desire to see the band make its big comeback this year.

*UPDATE 9/9/2023: Scott Stapp has secretly cut vocals for the new MÖTLEY CRÜE album, after turning down a full time role with the Crue, it’s now being reported that Scott will assist the legendary glam metal band with the help of AI technology in recreating Vince Neil’s singing voice in the studio.

IT IS OFFICIAL: CREED ARE REUNITING!!!

NEWS FLASH: Creed Announce Second Reunion Cruise After First One Sells Out Immediately

The recently announced Summer of ’99 Cruise, featuring the first performances from Creed in more than a decade, sold out in record time. That has led to the announcement of a second Creed-headlined cruise, dubbed Summer of ’99 and Beyond, setting sail just five days after the first cruise wraps up.

Like the first cruise, the second one will feature a number of Creed’s contemporaries, with very special guest Daughtry and acts such as Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Louise Post (of Veruca Salt), Nine Days, and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack.

CREED singer Scott Stapp went on the record to state that he does not have anything set yet for any other possible Creed tour dates, and his publicity team has instructed metal webzines to not ask any questions about his potential involvement with Crue.
