CRADLE OF FILTH were forced to stop their headline performance at Bloodstock last night.
On Saturday night, the band came under attack from one or more people who had taken to throwing things at the band. One missile struck Cradle Of Filth guitarist Paul Allender who was reportedly knocked unconscious. The band stopped playing and ambulances were on the scene in no time. Paul was treated in an ambulance before being driven to a local hospital.
While nobody can confirm what the missiles were, some witnesses have said it was large gob-stoppers. Possibly the size of cricket balls!
A Metal Hammer photographer was also rushed to the hospital for kidney pain, and saw Paul at the hospital. The snapper can confirm that he was “fine” and “walking around”.
Bloodstock organisers have said: “that one selfish ticketholder soured an amazing day and a stunning performance by the headliners” and hoped that “the rest of the fans in attendance will enjoy the rest of the weekend.”
