Producer Tom Werman’s Nightmarish Experience Cutting Vince Neil’s Vocals In The Studio: “He didn’t produce too many keepers…”

Troubled MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil’s downward spiral continues, as even his attempt to lip-sync live at Crue comeback concerts in 2023 gets laughed at – his lack of professionalism, obesity and drunken moves gets constantly ridiculed by the fans and rock news media.

Rumor has it that producer Bob Rock is using AI technology to recreate Vince Neil’s voice in the studio, to bypass the problems that plague a production when the aging lead singer is no longer up to par.

It turns out Neil has always been a bit difficult to deal with when it comes to singing, even in the recording studio he was a nightmare just waiting to happen, truth be told.

The following excerpt was taken from a full in bloom interview w/ producer Tom Werman. Tom talks about what it was like recording Crue vocalist Vince Neil.

Tom Werman on Vince Neil’s Vocals:

“Sometimes he didn’t produce too many keepers… because he stayed up all night partying.”

“As a vocalist, Vince had a lot of character, but he wasn’t able to do that much work all at once.”

Singing has definitely become a major problem for Neil, who leading up to the Stadium Tour kickoff actually quit during a solo gig and said he cannot sing anymore, followed by him drunkenly falling off the stage at another show. Now he is resorting to fake singing it has got so bad. When he did opt to sing with his authentic voice at a solo gig this month, Neil was blasted by fans with hurtful online remarks.

The Crue secretly fired Mick Mars, according to Corabi, who says he (not Mars) has been the main songwriter for the band since the 90s. The drama behind the scenes has kept the Crue from putting out a new studio album in fifteen years.
