MÖTLEY CRÜE Vocalist Vince Neil Quits, According To “Explosive” Band Memo

The troubled Crue singer has seen a rough past couple of years, and it had nothing to do with Covid-19, believe it or not, but everything to do with his lackluster approach to singing in front of a large crowd, plus chugging down $10,000 bottles of booze – and now at the age of 61, it seems the fallen glam metal idol has had enough.

Rumors began to swirl last year that Nikki Sixx was fed up with the rotund vocalist’s “shitty work ethic,” issuing an ultimatum for Neil to lose 50 pounds within a month of the Crue’s first comeback concert.

TMD has been tipped off that an internal memo recently leaked from within Crue’s camp that reportedly was sent by the band’s manager Allen Kovac to Nikki Sixx informed the other band members that Vince Neil is no longer interested in being a part of the group – and he will not be taking part in “The Stadium Tour.”

Neil’s downward spiral has been nothing short of fantastic, culminating with his drunk-like fall from the stage during one of his solo gigs at the end of last year. Neil also canceled his July 16th solo concert for unspecified reasons. Perhaps it was a sore spot with Sixx, because he wanted Neil to focus on the comeback concerts and not so much on his own solo gigs that continue to get decimated by rock critics.

In the memo, Neil accused his bandmates of “turning against him because he drinks and eats too much.”

“Rock n Roll is not rocket science, hell, last time I looked it’s not even bible study,” Neil continued. “I like to have fun and do whatever the hell I want without some dicks in suits telling me what I need to be doing so that I can make everyone else happy, and that’s why I am quitting the Crue!”

“I have been reading all of the fans nasty online comments about my singing voice being off, and how I should just lip-sync all of the Crue’s songs. Screw that bullshit! If you assholes don’t like the way I really sing then I need to remove myself from the situation!”

No word yet on who will be replacing Vince Neil. The first name that comes to mind is John Corabi, although he and Sixx have been estranged for years. Crabs remains very close friends with Mick Mars and Tommy Lee, and there are numerous songs that were never released from the “Corabi era” that the band are still itching to drop.

Other names in the running to front the Crue in 2022 include Sebastian Bach, Michael Starr and David Lee Roth.
