Wow, somebody must’ve had one helluva a lawyer! The blogging Guns N’ Roses fan who got caught and charged with leaking tracks from the album, “Chinese Democracy”, was sentenced in Los Angeles… to get this, ZERO hard time! Instead he’ll take a slap on the wrist and do home confinement, along with having to record an anti-piracy PSA.
Kevin Cogill pleaded guilty earlier this year to one misdemeanor count of copyright infringement for posting nine tracks from the long-awaited album last year on his music site – antiquiet.com. He said he was just acting like a fan.
Look for Cogill’s face to appear on a Television near you soon when he’s featured in a public service message. Cogill will only serve two months of home confinement and a year’s probation.
