According to Germany’s MetalWani site, the problems for troubled MÖTLEY CRÜE vocalist, Vince Neil, continue to mount with each negative concert review that is posted online.
“Legendary Vince Neil delivered another poor performance at the 2021 Acura Grand Prix Of Long Beach.“
Neil had headlined the event’s Saturday night, September 25th concert presented by Acura and ASM Global.
One fan’s comment sums up the general feeling amongst the legion of Crue diehards about watching the sad downfall of a once cherished rock great.
“I’ve seen them live probably six times in my life. Twice when Vince could still sing, back in the ’80s & early ’90s. All the rest got worse and worse as time went on. I saw them last on The Saints of Los Angeles Tour. Great Album, but the concert was absolutely horrific! Vince was even worse than he was on Carnival of Sins. Vince needs to retire. It’s embarrassing!” – Anonymous Crue Fan

it's hilarous. Hopefully Vince gets healthier by the time Motley Crue hits the stage…https://t.co/REAGmfRm84
Metal Sucks site adds their own assessment:
“Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil continues to trot his solo band out on the road for shows in less-than-optimal vocal shape, to put it kindly. Fan-filmed footage from a recent show in California that surfaced earlier this week continues to show that the singer has not made good on his pledge to improve his performances, struggling to stay on key and quickly running out of breath.”
Video: Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil Desperately Trying to Hack It Live
“Vince Neil, the lead singer of the legendary Mötley Crüe, has for years been the subject of jokes and debate because of his solo performances. Neil has often sung off-key, getting out of breath quickly and leaving many words out of songs, pointing a mic at the audience. Sometimes the words Neil sings are unintelligible, and this once led to a viral video on YouTube. Now, at his recent California gig, the same thing seemed to continue, despite Neil’s vow to get in better shape for Mötley Crüe’s return tour. Neil’s performance still looks pretty poor.” – Chaoszine site
MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s “The Stadium Tour” with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS was originally slated to happen last summer but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022. The rumors continue to swirl around the band, painting a very dark picture, including Neil’s own alleged attempted suicide, plus a huge confrontation Nikki Sixx purportedly had with Neil when issuing an ultimatum demanding he lose weight for the comeback or be replaced by ex-Crue singer John Corabi.
A recent story leaked out by TMD, exposed secret details about Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee holding rehearsals with Corabi. This epic drama has undoubtedly snowballed into the biggest story in rock n roll this year.
