Former MÖTLEY CRÜE vocalist, John Corabi, posted a comment today on a controversial post seen via Motley Crue Rocks Forever group on Facebook, which has over 46,000 members. Amid comments from all the members who can post a response, John took it upon himself to make it clear he was ‘misunderstood‘ recently about comments he made concerning the chance of him replacing Vince Neil, and now wants to defend his stance:
“Hey Randy,…Hope you’re well! I would never say fuck off to the fans! That fuck off is to the shit webzine that keep posting bullshit about me even remotely having anything to do with MOTLEY! It’s crazy. I’m amazed that these so-called music journalists can’t find something BETTER to talk about…SAD.”
Corabi has been making the rounds doing interviews, claiming there is no truth whatsoever to any of the publicity surrounding his potentially rejoining Crue. Believe it or not, some news and radio outlets believe Corabi is secretly being brought back to help save the band’s highly anticipated comeback tour in 2022 from derailing, due to the many troubling concert appearances which critics are ravaging because of original Crue singer, Vince Neil, who is heavier than ever and has been struggling singing Crue classics live.
In a 2020 interview with Australia’s Riff Crew, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee was asked about the band’s 1994 self-titled album which featured John Corabi on lead vocals instead of Vince Neil. Speaking about the fact that CRÜE guitarist Mick Mars considers the LP to be one of his favorites from the band’s career, Lee said (see video HERE): “The sounds on that record, dude. I still listen back and go, ‘My God! Fuck!’ And it is one of my favorite albums too. I’m with Mick on that one. Fuck, what a great record — really, really great record. The songs, the sound…”
New York FM Rock Station 92.5 KGB personality Big Rig stated: “There’s no doubt there is some tension within the band with Vince’s trouble…”
“John Corabi did one album and tour with Motley Crue called “MOTLEY CRUE” released in 1994. Releasing “Hooligan’s Holiday” a top ten hit on mainstream radio in the US. Watch John talk about his times with Motley Crue and how he got in the band. John talks about how Nikki Sixx gave him a mention at the end of a Spin magazine interview which led him to call Motley Crue’s management to thank him and at the same time, Nikki and Tommy were calling John to audition for the band. The rest was rock history, an album, a tour, a gold record and then in 1997 Vince Neil was back in the band with the release of “Generation Swine.” – Rock Scene
