Vince Neil – To Headline Acura Grand Prix Of Long Beach Concert

It has been announced that Vince Neil will headline a concert in Long Beach, California on September 25th. As the story goes, “The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach has tabled the Fiesta Friday concert when the race returns in September, but event officials announced that Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil will be performing.”

The road race, which typically happens in April, was canceled in 2020 and delayed to September this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kickstart the lunch buffet… where have all the good times gone, Vince?

Neil, who was raised in nearby Compton, is performing in Long Beach as part of his “The Legacy Continues Tour,” which features classic Motley Crue hits as well as songs from his solo albums.

The rotund performer previously performed in Long Beach Grand Prix back in 2015. Since the Crue’s “Kickstart My Heart” has been used in countless racing montages and commercials, it’s safe to bet that one will be on the setlist.

The Saturday show will take place at approximately 5:30 p.m. on the plaza in front of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center adjacent to the Long Beach Convention Center and is free to Saturday race ticket holders. Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will follow city COVID-19 protocols for the Saturday concert, which as of now means there are no masks required since it’s outdoors and capacity can remain the same as in previous year at about 5,000 people.

Long Beach Grand Prix weekend will run Sept. 24-26. For tickets, visit gplb.com.

Neil is also booked to perform this coming August 14th at the Hippopotamus Swim Up Bar.

On Sep 15th, he is scheduled to appear at the 2021 Spokane County Interstate Fair.

Fans continue to complain about the troubled singer’s issues with being obese and unable to sing properly, while the Crue’s manager swears that all members of the band (yes, that includes Vince too) are getting in shape in prep for their big comeback in 2022.
