Vince Neil – To Perform At The Hippopotamus Swim-Up Bar

This is not a joke. Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil shared a post to reveal the dates and places of his upcoming solo concerts on his official Instagram account. His upcoming August 14th event will be held at the Hippopotamus Swim-Up Bar. These next series of concerts are his first after the recent incident in Iowa when the frontman left the stage in the middle of the show saying that he’s lost his voice. It’s definitely been an uphill battle for the troubled singer as of late.

A report circulated recently that stated Vince survived a scary suicide attempt last month, having been saved by his next door neighbor who luckily brought him back from the dead with CPR.

As you may remember, Vince Neil and his solo band including bassist Dana Strum, guitarist Jeff ‘Blando’ Bland, and drummer Zoltan Chaney, performed on May 29, 2021, at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival. Neil and his solo band performed some of Mötley Crüe’s iconic songs such as ‘Live Wire,’ ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’ The rotund vocalist stopped singing in the middle of the latter saying “My voice is gone” and then just walked off the stage.

Check out the below footage of Vince rocking out with Sammy Hagar and absolutely butchering a Led Zeppelin classic, back on May 26th of this year. If this is any indicator of what Crue fans can expect with a comeback tour they are going to be extremely disappointed.

The fact is that Vince Neil isn’t ready to perform the classic Crue songs because he has lost his shape and ability to sing without any back vocals. Thus, the May 29th concert became a complete disappointment when the Mötley Crüe lead singer lost his breath in the middle of performing ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ and left the stage.
