AMORPHIS have announced a December 18th release date for their “Brother And Sister” vinyl single. That outing will feature the title track and “As Mountains Crumble“, both of which are b-sides from the sessions for their latest album “Queen Of Time.” Those songs previously appeared on the digipak edition of the album.
Amorphis keyboardist Santeri Kallio said of the upcoming effort:
“Two great songs from ‘Queen Of Time‘ sessions in vinyl which is great. Atmospherical ‘Brother and Sister‘ and majestic prog-driven ‘As Mountains Crumble‘ were also good candidates for the ‘Queen of Time‘ album final track list, but in the final run ended up as an album bonus tracks to give a special edge for different releases. With this release it is great to see these songs get more attention they deserve.”
The single will be limited to 666 copies and can be pre-ordered here. In the meantime, new limited edition colored vinyl pressings of “Queen Of Time” will be released this coming Friday, October 23rd. 250 will be pressed on clear, red and gold splattered vinyl, while an additional 250 will be made available on gold and black splatter.
