"Dear Donnington, Fans of Heavy Metal and Orange County bass players….
Just when we thought nothing could top 2006's Donnington (Download) Festival, we returned for round two yesterday and were completely blown away. To be honest, we weren't sure what to expect with the slightly altered location of the fest this year and the slightly less metal and slightly more vaginal line-up, but I can't say how amazing the experience was (and still is…we're hanging out today to see Cavalera Conspiracy, In Flames, Children of Bodom and others). We just want to sincerely thank the fans that came from all over Europe/the planet to destroy the second stage with us and make us feel at home when we're so far from it. It was our honor, and rest assured we'll do it again, m'friends.
And while we're on the topic of "download" so to speak, I'd like to give you an unsolicited and valuable piece of advice: go download Living Sacrifice's digital EP. It will be the best two songs you've heard since the last Living Sacrifice songs. Some of our younger fans may not know much about the band, but I've been listening to them for about 12 years and they have been a musical influence on me and a lot of Throwdown's peers in and out of Orange County. Also wanted to say that my kid brother, Mike, is looking for a bass player for his band. Visit Kodiak in our top friends if you live in our neck of the woods and think you've got the chops for the job!
