Slayer are now looking at a late summer release date for their upcoming new album “World Painted Blood”. The outing was produced by Greg Fidelman (Metallica, Slipknot) and was executive produced by Rick Rubin (Slayer, Metallica). The group recorded 13 tracks during the sessions with eleven of them set to make the album.
Tentative “World Painted Blood” track titles are:
“Beauty Through Order”
“Unit 731”
“Playing With Dolls”
“Public Display Of Dismemberment”
“Americon”
“Psychopathy Red”
“World Painted Blood”
A world tour is being planned in support of the effort this year including the already announced “Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival”, plus Australian, European and Japanese dates. Another North American trek is expected to follow in early 2010.
