CURSES are streaming “Amethyst” ahead of next week’s release of their new album, “Chapter II: Bloom“. SharpTone Records plan to have that album out next Friday, August 7th. Speaking of this new single, the band comments:
“‘Amethyst‘ is about the loss of one’s maternal creator. It explores the immense beauty that can be found beneath the throes of grief and connects it to the sublime reality of the natural world. Even after death, our loved ones continue to live within us through the memories we’ve created, the everpresent love we will always feel, and the perspectives we’ve inherited.”
Founded in 2014, Curses is a metalcore band from West Virginia signed to Imminence Records for their first album, “Chapter I: Introspect.”
West Virginia metalcore act Curses have since hit the ground running with multiple tours, a slot on their region’s Vans Warped Tour date. With the assistance of Taylor Larson and Spencer Sotelo, the band spent a month in the studio crafting their debut record. After a long wait and plenty of teasing, Curses teamed up with Revolver Magazine to release a single from the album titled “Fortune Collapse” featuring the impressive vocal talents of Spencer Sotelo himself.
