LAMB OF GOD‘s new, self-titled album has debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving nearly 30,000 units (27,000 in pure album sales) in its first week of release in the United States.
Meanwhile, Lamb of God bowed at No. 2 on the Current Album Sales, No. 1 on the Hard Rock Albums, and No. 2 on the Rock Albums charts.
The group’s previous album, 2015’s VII: Sturm und Drang, sold 47,000 copies in its debut week and landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Going back further, 2012 release Resolution sold 52,000 copies in its opening week, also debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 while Wrath (2009) debuted at No. 2 with first-week sales of 68,000.
Lamb Of God first appeared on the Billboard 200 in 2004 with the release of Ashes of the Wake, which sold 35,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 27 on said chart.
