In a shocking turn of events, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer, Vince Neil, has been fired by Jenny Craig and will not be the weight loss company’s new spokesperson after all.
The Crue recently postponed their highly anticipated comeback tour on June 1st, and are desperately trying to find a way to get Vince motivated enough to lose 90 pounds before they return to the stage in summer of 2021.
A rep for the band comments:
“Vince is devastated about not being part of Jenny Craig’s spokesperson role, and he went on a two day booze and food binge after learning the bad news, so everyone in the band is worried he still might need to be replaced for the big comeback.”
What exactly went wrong? This question was asked of the Crue insider, who responded in a weary tone:
“Vince showed up to the first meeting with Jenny Craig’s executive team and he was so drunk that he accidentally fell and shattered an expensive glass table that had been set up with his proposed ‘Get Fit Like Vince’ advertisements to be reviewed with the top brass of the weight loss empire.”
On June 5th, the big announcement about Vince working for Jenny Craig dropped, along with his planned attempt to lose the equivalent of a teenage girl from his midsection, which drew inspiring support from the singer’s legion of loyal fans all over the world.
No word yet on what Vince will do next to try and stay motivated enough to get back into good shape before the 2021 concerts go down.
If it does actually happen, “The Stadium Tour” will mark the CRÜE‘s first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour.
CRÜE toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017 — but the forthcoming 2021 tour marks the first time all four acts have hit the road together for an extended tour.
