(hed)p.e. – New Album Details Revealed

(hed)p.e. plan to release a new album on August 22nd. The band’s frontman Jared Gomes comments:

“Next record: drums, bass, guitar, vocals (turned off the autotune btw).

I mean, i had no idea some of yall would hate so much, but your comments made it back to me, and so on this one we took it back to that thrashy, punky vibe. A definite gpunk feel to this next one. Its finished and about to be mastered. I fucking love it. I trust you will as well.

I cant say this will be the last hedpe record, but it will be the last one for a while. I’ll explain later…anyway, here is the track listing.

(the “pe” stands for “Planet Earth”) were founded in 1994 by frontman Jahred (aka M.C.U.D. aka Jared Gomes), whose goal was to fuse the region’s long-standing punk rock heritage with G-funk-inflected hip-hop — a sound he labeled “G-punk.” The group found mainstream success in the early 2000s via their second and third albums, Broke and Blackout, both of which were released by Jive Records. A move to indie label Suburban Noize yielded the 9/11 Truth Movement concept LP New World Orphans, and in 2019 the eclectic rockers issued their tenth studio long-player, Stampede.” – All Music
