The rotund singer of MÖTLEY CRÜE, Vince Neil, has reportedly bumped longtime spokesperson, Kirstie Alley, out of the way, and is now the new face for weight loss icon Jenny Craig. Alley was arguably the most notable of celebrity diet spokespeople. Alley first began her relationship with Jenny Craig back in 2004, serving as the company’s spokesperson for three years.
In April 2014, the Veronica’s Closet and Cheers star got back on Jenny Craig after serving as a spokeswoman for the brand 10 years prior. The slimmed-down star rejoined Jenny Craig in an attempt to drop 30 pounds.
Vince Neil is attempting to lose 90 pounds of fat, mainly around the chin and midsection. A rep for MÖTLEY CRÜE band comments:
“Vince is a fighter, and I believe that he will be able to finally get this beast off his back by going public in the biggest way possible. By becoming a Jenny Craig spokesperson, Vince can help all of the other people who are struggling to put down the cheeseburger and instead pick up some weights.”
On June 1st, MÖTLEY CRÜE announced they were postponing their highly anticipated comeback tour until summer of 2021.
“The Stadium Tour” was scheduled to kick off in less than two weeks — on June 18 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida — and run through September 5 in Los Angeles. The band reportedly also booked time at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville to rehearse for the tour.
As of January 30, “The Stadium Tour” had already grossed $130 million from one million tickets sold, plus another $5 million worth of VIP seats, according to Billboard.
In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, thousands of concerts and festivals have either been postponed or canceled, as social distancing and self-quarantining make performing live music and attending live shows all but impossible.
Now if Vince can just distance himself from the bucket of hot wings and cases of beer he normally devours, the legendary glam vocalist has the highest chance for success in his battle of the bulge.
