BELPHEGOR – New Album Delayed Until Early 2021

The new BELPHEGOR album has now been pushed back to early 2021.

Belphegor frontman Helmuth comments: “Because of the global pandemic, we must push the release of the still-untitled LP back to early 2021. We have been composing this new album since what feels like forever. Drums have already been recorded before the outbreak in February this year at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Since mid-March Serpenth and I have kept busy by tracking guitars and bass for the new album.”

“Formed by guitarist/screamer Helmuth in 1990, Austrian death/black metal band Belphegor quickly made inroads in their homeland, but had to wait nearly a decade before their efforts crossed borders and were released internationally. Also featuring guitarist Sigurd, bassist Marius, and a revolving drum stool policy, the band’s overtly satanic, European-style black metal was first made available to the public in 1995 via their Lethal Records-issued debut album, The Last Supper — it was later reissued by World War III Records with six bonus tracks (some from their rare 1994 Obscure and Deep EP).” – All Music
