VEKTOR’s 2016 breakup shocked a lot of fans. Guitarist Erik Nelson, bassist Frank Chin and drummer Blake Anderson all jumped ship.
The band would go on hiatus as a result, though the band’s frontman/guitarist David DiSanto would find himself back in the public eye in 2019. That year saw his wife Katy DiSanto publicly accuse him of sexual assualt and physical abuse, sharing since deleted video evidence of David‘s alleged abuse and legal documentation filed on the incident.
David would later issue this statement, alleging the accusations were “false”. Now comes word that David and Erik Nelson have reunited the band, adding Mike Ohlson on drums and Stephen Coon on bass. They issued the below statement earlier today:
“After a four year hiatus following the highly regarded album, “Terminal Redux“, the two original guitar players, David DiSanto and Erik Nelson, have decided to reform Vektor.
With new talent from Mike Ohlson on drums and Stephen Coon on bass, Vektor is back as strong as ever!
The band currently in the studio working on new material, and are preparing for multiple tours in 2021″
