This past fall, three members of CHILDREN OF BODOM quit the band, leaving just guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho and guitarist Daniel Freyberg. Not long thereafter, it came to light that Laiho would be unable to continue using the band name without permission from the three departed members.
Due to his not yet getting “said permission,” Laiho has now launched a new band called BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT.
The new band features Laiho and Freyberg in addition to drummer Waltteri Väyrynen (Paradise Lost) and bassist Mitja Toivonen. You can watch a video introduction HERE.
Bodom After Midnight will play select festival appearances later this year, after which they’ll begin work on new material.
