MÖTLEY CRÜE lead vocalist, Vince Neil, has endured a major health setback during his band’s pursuit of making a comeback happen this summer. The overweight and alcohol dependent Neil has reportedly suffered a mini-stroke, and it’s said by their manager and band mates that the Crue’s highly anticipated comeback tour is now in absolute jeopardy. This shocking news comes on the heels of reports that the forthcoming tour with Def Leppard has already grossed over $125 million in ticket sales.
Some of the symptoms typically seen in a mini-stroke patient includes:
Confusion
Trouble speaking or understanding speech
Difficulty seeing in one or both eyes, such as double vision, blurred vision, or blindness
Trouble walking or dizziness
Loss of balance or coordination
Severe headache with no known cause
Numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg (especially on one side of the body).
Other mini-stroke symptoms that are less common but still important include:
Sudden nausea
Vomiting
Brief loss of consciousness (such as fainting)
As the story goes, last month, Neil, 58, was asked to deliver a surprise birthday message to a “Crue Super Fan” (seen in the shocking video clip above) and the troubled vocalist not only appeared more bloated then ever, despite his handlers claiming he was on his way to being in the best shape of his life for the Crue’s pending comeback tour later this year, but the singer also totally slurs his words and practically forgets how to speak.
Nobody in MÖTLEY CRÜE band is willing to confirm this tragic turn of events, in hopes of possibly salvaging the big tour with a last minute replacement for Neil, although that does not look likely, due to the significance of Vince’s role as an original member of MÖTLEY CRÜE.
The Crue were booked to hit the road for the biggest tour of their career with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS for “The Stadium Tour” this summer. The trek was slated to kick off on June 21st in San Antonio, Texas and was to include newly announced gigs in Kansas City, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Nashville, Cincinnati and Cleveland. The tour would have been the CRÜE‘s first live dates since wrapping their purported 2014/2015 farewell run. However, the word from deep inside the Crue’s camp is there looks to be a much longer recovery ahead for Vince due to his advanced age and already poor health.
The anonymous source confirmed with TMD that indeed the band and everyone recognized that the singer’s “drunk video” appearance was the initial indication that the former rock idol was already showing the telltale signs of having suffered a mini-stroke.
According to eMed TV site:
“It’s important to be able to recognize the symptoms of a mini-stroke or stroke. Often, a mini-stroke is a warning sign that a person is at high risk for a major stroke. In fact, one-third of people who have a mini-stroke will go on to have a stroke within five years; however, treatment can significantly reduce this risk.”
